Sliced with a little sea salt. The tomatoes would have to be home grown
or beef steaks. Winter tomatoes are horrid. I do use them for
cooking, but would rather open a can of diced tomatoes, drain them and
put them in a salad than use and imported mealy tomato.
My favorite sandwich using tomatoes is Arnold white bread, lightly
toasted and spread with Hellman's mayo, filled with a freshly cooked
sliced hard boiled egg and sliced beefsteak tomatoes.

They go good with a burger and lettuce. Usually, I wait until I have enough from my garden to make a sauce for pasta. SO much better than any sauce from a store!

How many tomatoes do you eat per week or month?
At least one a day, mostly in salad. Sometimes eat them just like an apple. And I'm not a vegetarian.
My favorite way to eat them is thinly sliced, alternating with thin slices of red onion, and mozzarella cheese slices, S&P and a zesty Italian dressing. Pour the dressing over the tomatoes, onions, and cheese, and let it marinate for 1/2 hour. Arranged in a circle on a large plate, with sprinkled fresh parsley, and a black olive center makes a great presentation.

Would you believe I have tomatoes in the greenhouse that still haven't ripened, it has been such a crap Summer and Autumn.
Do canned tomatoes count ? I like them.
Do I remember from macrobiotic hippie days that tomatoes are way off the scale one way or the other ? Eat a tomato and you have to eat three tons of porridge to compensate or something.

I drink at least four gallons of tomato juice a month. I also use tomato paste in cooking and fresh tomatoes in various ways. I eat a lot of tomatoes and tomato products. I'd have to keep track to come up with a concrete quantity.
My diet is also highly varied so one month may be much more tomato heavy than another. I buy what is ripe, what is in season and what is economical for the most part.This changes month to month and so does my diet as a result.

What is the most important healthiest veggie you should be eating?
there is no 1 healthiest veggie. The person who suggested spinach apparently does not know that spinach
contains oxilates which inhibits all that lovely iron from absorbing.
BUT if you eat the spinach with, say, tomatoes, the vitamin C in the tomatoes aids in iron absorption.
Thats the way it is with all veggies and fruits too. That is why it is recommended to eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies. They all have something different to offer the well balanced diet.

How to get kids to eat more vegetables?
For my five-year-old fruits and vegetables have always been more
prevalent than junk "food". Therefore, she has learned to like and
appreciate them, because it's what she has known since conception.
Yesterday, for breakfast, she had an apple. For lunch, she had a
vegetable salad of spinach, lettuce, tomatoes and carrots and another
apple.
(I don't remember if she had an apple for breakfast or not. We've bought them as they are in season and she's on an apple kick.) She also had a slice of whole wheat bread and guacamole hummus. For a snack, I treated her to a granola bar, when she will usually have a pepper. For dinner, she had vegan lasagna (veggie soy crumbles, pasta sauce rice cheese, whole wheat noodles), whole wheat bread and green beans. Today, she started with an apple for breakfast and she'll probably have a salad again for lunch....
I neither agree nor disagree with dips. I've heard people claim that they eat salads (and therefore eat "healthy"), but load it with meat, cheese and then drown it in a dressing made with unhealthy fats. My daughter got to liking yellow mustard with peppers. It's actually good as it's a nice mix of spice (mustard) and sweet (the red, orange and yellow peppers).
However, she will eat vegetables without the dips as well. So it works. If it comes to the point in which the only way a kid will eat vegetables is if they are covered in something, then there might be a problem. (I laugh at the Hidden Valley commercial-- OF COURSE kids always eat their vegetables if they are covered in the dressing.) Plus, the fat in the dressing (and meat and cheese) counteracts that the vegetables are fat free. I'll either put yellow mustard on my dressing, olive oil and vinegar or honey mustard (the sandwich condiment and not the salad dressing. The former has less calories and fat and is cheaper.)
Also, my daughter didn't think she liked colored peppers until she saw me eating one one afternoon as a snack. She wanted a bite and I shared. She now eats them. Sometimes, it just takes seeing the parent do something (good or bad) for the child to follow suit.
Other than the vegan chocolate chip cookies and banana bread and vegan chocolate cake I bake, my daughter didn't have conventional cookies, cakes, etc., until well after she was two. I do the same with my son, though he does occasionally get white bread (like the small piece of bagel last week after church during coffee hour).
I don't agree with "hiding" vegetables, i.e., pureeing them and putting them in with other things (For example, purreeing a vegetable or two to mix with a box of overly processed macaroni and cheese, or hiding it in a cake.) For one, the child does not even know he is eating vegetables and the parent is lying to him. Also, he will not learn to appreciate and even like the vegetables or even recognize them. I also think that some of the nutrients might get baked or cooked out as well. So what happens when the child is at a formal dinner and has carrots and broccoli on his plate and he does not even know what it is, let alone vocally refuses to eat it? I've seen it happen. Ive also gotten compliments on how well my children eat their fruits and vegetables.
However, mixing vegetables and beans together in a nice big soup/stew is a great idea. Three or four times during the winter my husband will make a large pot of soup and freeze the leftovers as well so we have an easy dinner for nights when we don't have much time for dinner, or we don't know what else to have.... (It works good with my homemade whole wheat scones.)

The eldest once called me weird when I said I never liked potato chips. Well, I grew up in a home in which whole, real potatoes were much more available than potato chips or French fries. How to make your body gets to eat vegetables when they do not like?
I tried a veagan diet once for two weeks and it was the worst two weeks
of my life. Anyway, I fully understand the health benefits of eating
them so I'm asking what the top three veggies are so I can just make a
simple disgusting shake and choke it down once a day.
I don't have the money/time/patience to come up with these complicated recipes and actually make these vegatrian meals that require constant trips to the store. I just need something simple I can blend up and throw back. I'll servive the rest the time on semi-healthy food like grains, fruits and lean meats.
Consider this:
Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, and spinach.

According to the government, pizza is a vegetable. According to biology, anything with seeds is a fruit. That rules out corn, tomatoes, and pumpkins. I highly suggest potatoes. There is a correlation between life expectancy and potato consumption. I mean REAL potatoes though. Not store bought mashed potato garbage, or potato chips. The real deal.

Fruits are healthier due to being softer & more digestible even as a smoothie. Juicing veggies is the way to go. Try these drinks sometime.
4-6 Bananas
8 ice cubes
Unsweet organic soymilk filled to half of ingredients.
Watermelon smoothie
Cut watermelon chunks into blender, ice if not chilled
Carrot juice
8-11 carrots
Half a beet
*juicer required*
