A vegan diet has virtually no bad cholesterol, since that comes
exclusively from animal products. Other than that, it's up to what foods
you get.
A reduced change of E. Coli, yes. There was a case in my state just a few weeks ago of canteloupe E. Coli, so it is not 100%.
Not all chocolate has dairy- dark chocolate varieties often don't, and
you can order vegan chocolate made with non-dairy milks. Non-dairy ice
cream is now available at a lot of grocery stores, too.
Weight is governed by CALORIES- expend more and consume less if you'd
like to lose weight. Veganism has nothing to do with it. (Pro-tip:
chocolate and ice cream aren't doing you any favors.)
Btw, veganism is not a diet. It's an ethical philosophy opposing animal commodification.
Vegans don't:
buy or consume meat, dairy, eggs, honey, or foods containing them
buy or wear fur, leather, silk, wool, or clothing trimmed in them
buy or use consumer products containing animal-derived ingredients or distributed by companies conducting animal toxicity tests
buy animals to be used as "pets" from breeders/pet stores
frequent zoos/circuses/rodeos/aquariums or other venues where animals
are held in captivity or forced to perform for human entertainment or
profit.

Benefits
When I went vegan I noticed a lot of positive changes such as :
-My nails got very hard and strong. Before I went vegan I could
basically bend my nail if it was long enough. Right now It's doesnt
bend at all.
- My hair doesnt split. Last time I went to a barbershop was 3 years ago....
- My skin got a lot better ! No pimples. Its a lot more moisturized...
- Weight loss. I didnt lose much weight because I was already skinny,
but a friend of mine has lost a lot of weight. She was big tho.
- I have a lot more energy. I go to aerobics 2 times a day! I love to move! ( I have a sitting job)
- Better metabolism.
- People say "You look glowing" all the time :)
I noticed that I'm a lot more positive and just happy. I feel good about
myself and about this new lifestyle and that " I'm being the change I
want to see in the wolrd :) "
As for the snack, you can find a lot of vegan snacks out there, you just have to read the indigrients.
I actually can;t remember where E.Coli has come from because there have
been few things suspected but you will definietaly reduce the risk of
getting high choloestereol, heart diseases, cardiovascular disease and a
lot ofther stuff.
