I follow a vegetarian diet, but I eat meat once a year. Are you a vegetarian

In my opinion, whether you considered yourself a good or bad person, happy or sad person, rich or poor person, a vegetarian or meat eaters, is for you to know and others to find out if they are interested in you. Otherwise, it makes no difference who you considered yourself to be. So you eat healthy for health reasons and one day in the year, you want to splurge and party with your family, friends or loved ones. Its just your conversation piece over a meal time.

No. Vegetarians give it up forever. You don't. Therefor, you're not. It's not fair to eat meat once a year, and call yourself one, when real vegetarians never eat any.

Technically no, as vegetarian means never, ever eating meat. It's most accurate to say you very rarely eat meat.

why do you want to label yourself

but if you want to call yourself one go for it, i don't think there are any "vegetarian police" looking to bust holiday meat eaters

be happy with what you decide, regardless of others opinions.
