No on both counts. Vegetarianism means missing out parts of your diet
for various reasons, it is not for losing weight, if you did things
would be wrong.
You would become less healthy because vegetarian diets are not for human
animals and miss out various useful components we have eaten in harmony
with nature for thousands and thousands of years.

No. vegetarians can fat quite easily as well.
Eat lots and lots of veg will help you loose weight, maybe dry chicken and fish could also help.

Vegetarian or Veganism isn't a 'diet'. It's not intended for weight loss. It's meant for people who don't want to eat meat or those who can't due to health issues.
You simply switch out animal protein, iron and b12 sources for plant based.
Beef becomes Beans
Pork becomes Lentils
Chicken becomes Tofu
Fish becomes Nuts and Seeds
Beans,Lentils,Tofu,Nuts and Seeds STILL contain fats, still contain
things that you can find in meat products. It's just in plant form.
