1 banana, handful of raspberries/blueberries, 1/2 skim milk, 2 ice
cubes, and 1 tablespoon of plain unsweetened Greek yogurt? I've been
getting into smoothies lately (drink them every couple days or so as a
snack/breakfast), but everyone keeps saying they're full of calories and
sugar and really bad for you. However, I don't see how my recipe can be
over 200 calories or that full of sugar? Am I missing something?

Wow, why would people say smoothies are full of callories ? :-O I guess
someone doesnt know what they are talking about.... Maybe stuff like
Milshakes from McDonalds or other milshakes that contain ice cream....
But not milk smoothies. Smoothies are actually very heathly and
especially if you make your own at home - you can control what you put
in them.
Your smoothie recepie sounds more than healthy......

Probably because they have the common sense to know that fruit is
sugary, sugar = calories, and the presence of milk doesn't change
that...at all.
The banana is at least 100 calories (most bananas are listed as 110),
the "handful of berries" is at least another 75, and then you have the
yogurt and milk.
It's likely around 250 calories at least.
Mammary secretions from another species are bad for you, but fruit isn't, in the quantity you described.
