What are some alternatives to meat for vegetarians?

If you mean protein you can turn to soy but if you eat too much you could develop an allergy I did a rash that was so darn itchy had to stop eating soy completely and if I don't pay attention and something has soybean oil I can a small reaction but still get a reaction!

You can have a diet based on vegetables and fruit, supplement it with dairy products and all kinds of nuts, and to replace the protein from meat, you can have protein shakes. Soy is not a must.

Healthy alternatives to meat are tofu, soya, beans, lentils and mushrooms, all are high in protein and low in fat.

quinoa and tofu can sometimes replace meat but it depends what its for. in a pasts, beans are good. instead of a burger, a veggie burger is good. so it depends!
